I can't help it. I would rather get my eye poked out than see them hurt. Luckily, my kids are tough and when they hear that intake of breath, they usually yell "I am okay!" even if their arm is bent at a funny angle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-425560453110615838.post-87033074795795774112010-03-10T20:37:49.779-06:002010-03-10T20:37:49.779-06:00Ahhhhhh...I can handle wait for the day when I hav...Ahhhhhh...I can handle wait for the day when I have attained the title "tough old bird"...versus just "stubborn bitch"! And back then we didn't use the canvas trainer baseballs that they use now.The Mean Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14276390841338909101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-425560453110615838.post-89242718120963340432010-03-10T20:36:09.661-06:002010-03-10T20:36:09.661-06:00Love it! Had a cousin (boy) who shoved me out of a wagon one day...hit the ground, "cried" for all of 3 seconds (while Mom sat on the steps and watched without a word), I got up, brushed myself off, walked over to the edge of the woods, picked out a suitable stick/branch and hit my cousin with it! He didn't push me anymore after that! Also, on the sports issue...I had a softball coach in high school that told us, "If you come out of a game without so much as a scratch...you didn't play hard enough!".DHnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-425560453110615838.post-50344006262508007382010-03-10T20:35:32.875-06:002010-03-10T20:35:32.875-06:00Love it. They ask for a band aid for a papercut and I usually reply with, "Are you bleeding profusely, dying or dead?" Then follow it with a no & get back to work:)LMnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-425560453110615838.post-22202030305724219492010-03-10T20:35:00.548-06:002010-03-10T20:35:00.548-06:00Hahaha!
